Karingal Apartments have commenced construction!

We are excited to announce that work has commenced on the Karingal Apartments project, at the former Karingal Hostel site!
Following the difficult decision to close the Aged Care Facility in 2019, the Waikerie Community Senior Citizens’ Home Inc board have investigated many options for the repurpose of the building, and after almost five years of careful consideration and planning, the Karingal Apartments project has received approval and Stage 1 has commenced. Stage 1, will consist of five x 2 bedroom single-storey apartments, built within the structure of the east and the west “wings”. Stage 2, will be the re-development of the former lounge, dining, kitchen and sunroom area into a beautiful new community hub area, with a commencement date to be advised.
The apartments will be spacious, modern and inviting, and we cant wait to show you the finished products in approximately six-months time. There has already been strong interest in these apartments from potential new residents of Warrawee Retirement Village, and we expect they will be sold from the plans very quickly.
For more information about this project and to join our wait-list, call us at Warrawee on 85413655.  We look forward to updating you on the progress of the apartments!

Future Development

Exciting times ahead for Warrawee and for Waikerie!

The District Council of Loxton Waikerie have agreed to donate a parcel of land between Elders Way and Smith Drive to Warrawee Lodge, which will allow us to expand our village and help to provide more options for affordable housing to retirees. Great news for those on our waiting list and for our future retirees! There is still much to be done before building commences but its a great step forward.
